These are just some of the outstanding benefits offered to every client by attorney Mark Zalcman. Mr. Zalcman understands the complex legal needs of the citizenry in and around Central Illinois. He knows that each sensitive scenario, brought to his practice, requires professionalism, integrity, and a dedication to the defense of his clients’ rights. Attorney Mark Zalcman is ready to use his extraordinary law training, versatile trial experience, and keen negotiation skills to achieve positive litigation and success for all of his clients.

Mark’s story began with him as a Bachelor of Arts graduate, with high honors, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1985. Mark’s love of the law then earned him the distinguished Juris Doctor from UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law in 1991. After working for a sole practitioner in Chicago for a time, Mark attended the University of San Diego School of Law for his Master’s degree in Taxation. He then decided, in 2003, that a position in Peoria as an Assistant State’s Attorney, and then an Assistant Public Defender, was the right path for him. He went on to open his own practice in 2006.

Today, with over 20 years of broad-based experience (10 of those in Peoria as a prosecutor and private attorney), Mark Zalcman has developed an impressive concentration in both criminal and family law. He is licensed and certified to practice law in state and federal courts and has achieved significant beneficial verdicts in both locations. He has tried hundreds of cases with an excellent success rate overall.

Attorney Mark Zalcman is a motivated, articulate professional who thrives in a courtroom setting and excels at client rapport and negotiations. He faithfully serves Central Illinois from either his office in Chillicothe or his office in Peoria.
